Quick answer: All new photos are reviewed before they appear on your profile. Most are approved; a few things can cause a rejection.
- Your main photo should clearly show you: recent, well-lit, and your face visible.
- Filters can change colors only.
- A child's face must not be identifiable. Cover it with a sticker, blur it, or crop it out.
- Nudity, contact details, ads, and offensive content are rejected.
Photo requirements
- Your main photo should clearly show you: recent, well-lit, and with your face visible.
- Filters can change colors only.
- Your profile needs at least one photo.
Photos that include children
To protect children's privacy and safety, a child's face may not be visible or identifiable. You're welcome to share a family photo as long as the child's face is covered (for example, with a sticker), blurred, or cropped out. If a photo was removed for this reason, re-upload it with the face covered.
Other reasons a photo is rejected
- Nudity, or sexually explicit or suggestive content
- Phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, or links
- Ads for a product or service
- Offensive, violent, or discriminatory content
- Photos of someone else
