Quick answer: If your location looks wrong, set it yourself in My Profile > Edit Profile > Location.
- Typing your location in the field works even if JSwipe can't use your phone's location.
- If the compass icon doesn't find you, allow JSwipe to use your location in your phone's settings.
- A VPN can make it look like you're somewhere else. Turn it off.

Set your location yourself
- Tap your photo in the bottom-right corner to open My Profile.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Tap Location.
- Type your location in the field, or tap the compass icon to use your current location.
Typing your location works even if JSwipe isn't allowed to use your phone's location.
If the compass icon doesn't find you
The compass icon uses your phone's location, so JSwipe needs your permission.
- When JSwipe asks, choose Allow Once or Allow While Using App.
- If you chose Don't Allow before, open your phone's settings, find JSwipe, and allow location access.
- Make sure location services are turned on for your phone.
Using a VPN?
A VPN makes your connection look like it's coming from wherever its server is. Turn it off, then update your location again. Signing in from outside the United States, Canada, Australia, or US territories can also block your account. See Can I use JSwipe while traveling?
