Block, report, or remove a Match?
- Block when you simply don't want any further contact. The member can't contact you, and our team isn't involved.
- Report when someone breaks our rules: fake profiles, scams, inappropriate content, harassment, hate speech, or anyone who seems underage. Our team reviews every report, and reporting also blocks the member.
- Remove Match to end a Match and its conversation. This can't be undone.
The other member isn't notified when you block, report, or remove a Match.
How to report or block
- Open the member's profile.
- Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner, or the Flag icon labeled Report or block at the bottom of the profile.
- Choose Block or Report.
Block asks you to confirm, then stops the member from contacting you.
Report lets you pick a reason. Your feedback is anonymous, and the member won't know you blocked or reported them.
Report reasons
- Profile is fake, spam, or a scammer: then choose using photos of someone I know, using my photos, using photos of someone famous, fake location, limited information, their face is covered, AI-generated photos or videos, promoting social media, spam, contact details on profile, selling items, or multi-level marketing.
- Inappropriate content: then choose photos on profile, text on profile, or messages sent to me.
- Harassment: add more details.
- Hate speech: add more details.
- Underage: then choose the reason. See How do I report someone I believe is under 18?
- Other: describe what happened.
Please give as much detail as you can so our team can review it. If someone shared an intimate image of you, see How do I report an intimate image shared without my consent?
What happens after you report
- We review it. Our Trust & Safety team reviews every report.
- We investigate. We look at the account's activity and history.
- We take action. Depending on what we find, this can be a warning or a permanent ban.
For privacy reasons, we don't share the outcome of an investigation.
